Healthy Skin Care Tips For Men

Healthy skin care is NOT just for women. This is not news, yet the fact still remains that more men are likely to forego healthy skin care regimes than women are.

Take it from me guys, healthy skin is sexy! So use these tips to on a regular basis to achieve healthier skin starting today.
  • Cleanse gently & thoroughly.
You gotta clean your skin, every day. The jury is out on whether you'll need to do it day and night, but at the least cleanse once in the morning and wipe gently with a toner if you don't plan to cleanse again at night. Don't use anything too drying or try to over cleanse. Generally, you should stay away from detergent based bars or cleansers because they can be too harsh for your face.

  • Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate.
Men, want to see real improvement in your skin? Then you should be gently exfoliating regularly. This is VITAL for men who shave daily. Exfoliating will remove dead skin cells that can get clogged in your pores and hair follicles. The result is smoother skin and closer shave with less breakouts, ingrown hairs and irritation. Use at least once a week.

  • Nourish with a moisturizer.
This step is often skipped by men who feel their skin is too oily to use a moisturizer. It's true that men's skin tends to be oilier and thicker than women's skin, but don't skip this step! A nourishing moisturizer puts vital nutrients back into your skin and helps to balance the oil production process. Stick with a lighter moisturizer made with oils that are closer to the natural sebum produced by your skin like jojoba seed oil.

  • Try a clay mask facial.
  • Still with me? Great! If all of this is old news to you, consider going pro by adding a weekly facial to your skin care routine as well. A clay mask facial used once a week will also help to exfoliate and reveal healthier skin when used on a consistent basis. Clay masks also draw out impurities that can accumulate over time. I recommend our Moisturizing Oatmeal and Banana Mask. It will help soothe and nourish your skin.

  • Be consistent.
Finally, be consistent with your routine. Consistently taking care of your skin will help you look and feel healthier in the long run. Remember, your skin is your largest organ, don't ignore it and take care of it, Dude!
